Congratulations was recorded throughout 2009 in upstate New York, Malibu, and Brooklyn and features Andrew Vanwyngarden and Ben Goldwasser, MGMT's core duo, performing with Matt Asti, Will Berman, and James Richardson from the band's live line-up.
Track List:
It's Working
Song for Dan Treacy
Someone's Missing
Flash Delirium
I Found a Whistle
Siberian Breaks
Brian Eno
Lady Dada's Nightmare
Congratulations
The band recently told NME that they aren't keen on releasing any singles from this album. Ben Goldwasser explained, "There definitely isn't a 'Time To Pretend' or a 'Kids' on the album. We've been talking about ways to make sure people hear the album as an album in order and not just figure out what are the best three tracks, download those and not listen to the rest of it."
Congratulations will be available for pre-order on whoismgmt.com
