Holiday Stocking Stuffer: 'The Dark Knight Rises' Now On Blu-ray/DVD!

This summer's final installment of Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises, hits stores on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download today. Just in time for the holiday gift-giving season, you can buy a copy for a loved one - or gift it to yourself! If you haven't seen it yet (or just need a refresher), the film is the epic conclusion to the trilogy in which Gotham City is threatened by the masked terrorist Bane (played by Tom Hardy), which forces Batman (played by the husky-voiced Christian Bale) to return from a long eight-year absence and fight for his city for one last time. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman. 

Also available is the FREE The Dark Knight Rises app (IOS 5.0 or higher) for iPhone and iPad and Samsung Galaxy devices (including S2, S3, Note, Nexus and Tab. Building on the already available TDKR: Gotham's Most Wanted app, the app will allow users to sync compatible mobile devices with the Blu-ray disc via BD-Live enabled Blu-ray players connected to the same Local Area Network to access exclusive bonus content: Gotham City maps, "making of" featurettes, film trivia and photo galleries. It will also control playback of the film on your TV via the Blu-ray player.
