Buzznet Exclusive: Boys Like Girls On Their Fans & Summer Plans

We caught up with Paul DiGiovanni of Boys Like Girls to get some information on his favorite summer items and fan memories. After reading this you will know exactly how Paul likes to spend a summer date AND if he prefers to chill by the pool or hit the beach!

Best fan gift/letter or encounter you have received?

There are so many cool things that have happened over the years...I'd say recently our friend Ivo flew up from Brazil with a friend to see us perform at Bamboozle in NJ. We hung out at our preparty at the W in NYC and got to chill before the show during the day.

What would be the perfect summer date?
The beach at night. Late at night when it's a little chilly and windy and there is no one else around. Just us two looking out at the ocean.

What was your favorite summer vacation?
Never been a huge vacation guy. I love taking couple day trips on my motorcycle and camping.

Any summer reading suggestions for fans?
"Shadow of the Wind" by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. Unbelievable story, made me honestly cry more than once. Also "You Are Not So Smart" by David McRaney. Really gets the brain going. Changed the way I look at the world permanently.

Water slides or roller coasters? 
Water slides all day long. Unless there are bandaids floating around. Roller coasters make me puke for days.

Hot Dog or Hamburger?
Double bacon cheeseburger with mushrooms, onions, spicy mayo, and ketchup. Whatup.

Pool or Beach?
BEACH all day long.

Beach Boys or Beastie Boys?
Gotta go with Beastie Boys. My generation. So many songs I remember from growing up, what an amazing group.

Girls in bikinis or One piece?
I like both, honestly. Different styles work for different ladies. I just love summertime.
